Building the Reference Frontend Needs

What is a Pattern?

01

A pattern is a reusable solution to a common problem. When I talk about patterns on this site, I mean approaches that have been tested across many projects and proven to work well.

They're not rigid implementations you copy and paste, but flexible ideas you adapt to your own context and requirements.

Frontend development has become remarkably complex. There are countless frameworks, libraries, and tools to choose from, and it's genuinely difficult to know which approaches will help you build applications that scale and remain maintainable over time.

I created this library to be the centralised resource I wished I had: a place that brings together proven solutions and helps you navigate the complexity with confidence.

About This Project

03

I'm Den Odell. I've been working as a Frontend Architect since 2007, starting at AKQA before React and modern frameworks existed. That long view informs everything on this site.

After publishing two technical books with Apress, I wanted to create a free resource that synthesizes best practices from over 50 companies into patterns you can actually use. This is the comprehensive frontend pattern library I believe the community needs.
